We work closely with our suppliers to provide products that are healthy and safe.In this respect we'd like to highlight our policy of withholding antibiotics in the days prior to slaughtering.Thus we assure that there is no residue in the meat products that we put on the market.
The raw material that Hemosa uses is carefully selected.We select the best breeds based upon their final destination; and so presently the breeds being reared range from Duroc breeds to Pietrain breeds.
Feeding is controlled during the entire growth process, the feed being grain based, with the aid of regulators that supply vitamins and minerals.This results in a balanced diet that allows for both the animal's well-being along with the improvement of the organoleptic properties of the end product.
Slaughtering takes place in the Eurocentro de Carnes,S.A slaughterhouse, a subsidiary of Hemosa.The plant is located inside one of the areas with the densest concentration of pork production in the central zone.This reduces the movement of livestock and guarantees high quality meat, free of the stress that is produced in PSE and DFD meat.
From the time when the animals leave the farm to their being converted into meat, animal welfare laws are scrupulously observed, at all times avoiding any unnecessary suffering on the part of the animals.
